I am a late diagnosed muslim ADHD human who is a physician in Canada and runs a crazy house with two autistic boys (3 if you count hubs).
I read your blog about the autistic muslim experience. Well, for my bright 10 year old even getting him go there is a challenge.
I want our mosques to be supportive safe and inclusive for neurodiverse individuals; children in particular but adults too.
Do you have any recommendations for it? Have you been able to connect successfully with your local mosque to implement ND affirming strategies? Can you guide me in how you went about it (or are planning to go about it)
And I hope you know how much your blog speaks to all of us with neurodiversity. Those of us who are trying to live in a world not made for us, trying to be a decent parent (maybe! kinda!), and somewhat attempting at being a muslim and keeping our next generation on the straight path. It is NOT easy.
